This Privacy Policy describes how C.M. Leal LTDA ("we", "us", or "our"), operating under the brand Great Apps, handles information in connection with ChatExhibit: Evidence Bundles ("the App") for macOS.

Our Core Principle

We believe your data belongs to you. ChatExhibit is designed for sensitive professional material and processes conversations, attachments, redactions, and generated bundles entirely on your Mac. Your chat content never leaves your device.

Data Collection

ChatExhibit does not collect, transmit, or store your chat data. Specifically, the App does not:

• Upload messages, attachments, exports, redactions, or generated bundles to any server
• Require a user account or registration
• Track your usage or behavior
• Use analytics, advertising, or tracking frameworks
• Access files beyond those you explicitly choose to import or export

On-Device Processing

All importing, parsing, searching, filtering, redaction, PDF generation, indexing, manifest creation, checksum generation, and packaging happens locally on your Mac. ChatExhibit does not use cloud processing or external APIs for chat content.

Files and Original Source Material

ChatExhibit opens official WhatsApp ZIP and TXT exports that you explicitly select. The supplied source remains unchanged. Selections and redactions are non-destructive, and generated files are written only to locations you choose.

Preservation and Disclosure Packages

A preservation package can include the untouched supplied source and is intended for internal retention. It is not safe for redacted disclosure. A redacted disclosure package excludes the original source and recoverable unredacted derivatives. You are responsible for reviewing every generated package before sharing it.

Third-Party Services

ChatExhibit is distributed through the Mac App Store. Apple's privacy policy and terms apply to downloads and in-app purchases. Apple processes those transactions, and we do not receive personally identifiable purchase information from Apple.

Data Security

Because ChatExhibit processes chat material locally, your files are not exposed to our servers or cloud infrastructure. The security of stored source files and generated bundles also depends on the security of your Mac and the storage locations you choose.

Children's Privacy

ChatExhibit does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
